The Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group features the proprietary Geissele Stressproof Bolt. This forged bolt is crafted from Carpenter 158+, a material developed in collaboration with Carpenter Steel metallurgists to produce a cleaner alloy with fewer impurities than standard options. The result is a bolt with greater strength and fatigue resistance — offering up to five times the service life of a typical mil-spec bolt.

Every bolt undergoes a thorough quality control process, including rigorous inspection, high pressure testing, magnetic particle inspection, and a Nanoweapon coating application.

Nanoweapon is a proprietary coating family, comparable to DSL (Durable Solid Lubricant) technology originally developed by Picatinny Arsenal (US ARMY ARDEC), and is available exclusively through Geissele Automatics. Geissele's engineering team spent more than three years collaborating with the R&D firm behind the original Picatinny formulation, refining it into what is now considered the premier coating solution for firearm components. No competing coating on the market matches its combined resistance to corrosion, wear, and abrasion. Applied at low temperatures to preserve the integrity of the underlying metal, Nanoweapon achieves a surface hardness equivalent to 82HRC — harder than sand — which allows carbon deposits to be wiped away with minimal effort. This hardness also means the firearm can function reliably with reduced lubrication.
